The following is the latest update on the transition of care for our patients. Please check back to the site frequently for updates, as we will keep the web-site information updated on a regular basis. We have appreciated the many phone calls of support, and understand the questions and sense of uncertainty being expressed by so many. We share in many of these feelings, and are working very hard at getting details taken care of for the future care of our patients as quickly as possible.

A small group of our staff will be at Medical Specialist, Ltd. office through April 28, 2008 working on medical records and the infinite details of transitioning a 40 year old practice. For our patients continuing care with their respective physician, we ask that you wait for any records request. All records will be transferred with the respective physicians to their new location, and it will not be necessary for you to transfer any type of records. This will all be taken care of by your physician.

The email account for Medical Specialist, Ltd. will remain active until April 21, 2008. After that time, please contact your physician at their new location for questions or to make appointments. Due to the large volume of incoming emails over the past two weeks, it may take several business days for specific request to be addressed. Again, we have a markedly reduced staff to handle outside request and questions and we are making every effort to efficiently address the issues of quickly transferring care so that there will be minimal disruption to care.

The main phone number will remain in service through April 28, 2008. Again, because of staff limitations and volume of calls, most calls will be routed to leave a message for the staff. Starting April 28, 2008 there will be a recorded message with contact information for the respective physicians.
